Frequently asked questions
What do I need to bring?
Make sure to pack enough food for the length of your pets stay. It doesn’t have to be in anything fancy. And we have extra bowls. Please make sure to bring a leash and collar as well.
Although there are toys and beds all around the house, we encourage pet owners to bring a bed or some favorite treats with during overnights or extended stays. We do not suggest packing your pets favorite toy because there is always a chance the family dogs may destroy it.
Will my dog be left alone or crated?
Pets are never left alone or unattended. If your pet is used to sleeping in a crate, we do have varying sized crates available. We are familiar with crate training puppies and older dogs with their habits.
Otherwise, the dogs have free roam of the main floor at night aside from two rooms blocked with baby gates.
How often are potty breaks given?
Since there is a fenced in yard, it is easy to give the dogs regular outside time.
Are there required vaccines before boarding?
Yes. We believe in the power of choice at Cooper’s Cabin, however, we also care deeply about our personal pets health and safety. For this reason, among others, we require all pets to be up to date with a Rabies vaccine that was given in at least the last 3 years(or as recommended by their veterinarian). Even though we do not require other vaccines, we still highly recommend keeping your pet up to date on the kennel cough and DHPP vaccines at a bare minimum.
As always, please consult with a veterinarian about your pets specific needs.
